Other upgraded features include multi-destination routing – up to 20 per trip – with a route optimizer that automatically guides you along the shortest path between all points; destination mapping prior to setting route; and a point-of-interest locator that finds gas stations, ATMs or restaurants along your route – simply by touching a screen icon. Its expanded directory now puts over six million points of interest – more than triple the "700" model – at your fingertips. In addition, you can store up to 600 destination addresses. To make it easier to hear directions at higher speeds, SmartVolume™ automatically increases the sound level at speeds over 45 mph. The large, touch-screen 3.5-inch color TFT LCD switches to "night view" in the evening; it also automatically adjusts to ambient light so it is always easy to read, even in bright sunlight.
